HKRI Taikoo Hui Empowers Shanghai’s Night-time Economy
HKRI Taikoo Hui Empowers Shanghai’s Night-time Economy
This summer, HKRI Taikoo Hui held the “Dare-mart Night Voyage”, a seasonal edition of the mall’s successful marketplace. The market was a highlight of the inaugural Jing’an District Nightlife Season, a new initiative designed to energise the district’s night-time economy.
Inspired by the spirit of sailing and the joy of seaside holidays, the night voyage campaign created a nautical summery vibe buzzing with nightlife energy enhanced through accessible art installations by local and international artists. Participating F&B brands offered seasonal dessert menus, while a gamified “Night Voyage Stamp Rally Navigation Guide” saw shoppers collect stamps by completing challenges and making purchases which could be turned into “treasure”. During the first weekend, the market featured silent disco sessions and open-air film screenings, while several F&B outlets extended their opening hours to enhance the summer evenings.
Taikoo Li Sanlitun Driving Beijing’s “Debut Economy” and Global Hub Growth
Taikoo Li Sanlitun Driving Beijing’s “Debut Economy” and Global Hub Growth
Since 2022, Taikoo Li Sanlitun has undergone a significant transformation – evolving from a lively pedestrianised shopping and F&B complex into an international fashion and cultural landmark that is powering Beijing's “debut economy” and contributing to the city’s development as a hub for international consumption. Our focused brand enhancement strategy has made Taikoo Li Sanlitun North into a haven for luxury brands’ flagship stores – each of which is a uniquely-designed architectural masterpiece. The opening of several of these stores in December 2025, attracted a notable increase in footfall.
Taikoo Li Sanlitun South has also completed a successful brand repositioning and tenant upgrade programme, while Taikoo Li Sanlitun West and its surrounding streetscape have undergone significant enhancements, including a new pedestrian bridge linking the South and West zones to improve connectivity and to enhance the overall community experience.
Our strategy of becoming a “first store harvester” has so far delivered 171 brand debuts, alongside 227 first-launch and exclusive events that have positioned Taikoo Li Sanlitun as the premier stage for limited editions, new collections and cultural collaborations. Over 100 customised retail spaces have also been co-created with brands to offer one‑of‑a‑kind shopping environments and support Beijing’s innovative development direction.
Adhering to Swire Properties’ placemaking strategy, Taikoo Li Sanlitun’s transformation will continue. Next steps include the redevelopment of Building N1 (formerly The Opposite House) and further placemaking initiatives in the surrounding area to strengthen the integration of international art, fashion and culture, and cement Taikoo Li Sanlitun’s status as a future‑forward urban landmark.

INDIGO Responds to Extreme Weather Events
INDIGO Responds to Extreme Weather Events
In April 2025, the Beijing Meteorological Service issued an orange alert that high winds would hit the city in the following few days. INDIGO promptly opened its underground parking lot to the public, offering 48 hours of free shelter for vehicles during the extreme weather. Following widespread dissemination of the news via social media and official channels, more than 8,000 vehicles used the lot over the next 48 hours.
During the summer, as heavy rainstorms and flash flooding struck the north of the country, INDIGO staff again sprang into action to provide essential relief supplies to impacted communities. Partnering with dedicated organisations and social enterprises, they worked to support residents and vulnerable groups hit by the storms, providing folding beds, bedding sets, pillows and other items to a relief centre in Inner Mongolia and nursing homes around Beijing. They also sold some pieces of office furniture through a local charity shop, with the proceeds going towards public welfare organisations.
Running for Healthy Hearing
Running for Healthy Hearing
To celebrate National Ear Care Day, running enthusiasts from INDIGO took part in the “Ear Run” offline charity event. Sporting ear-shaped accessories symbolizing hearing health, participants experienced the joy of running while raising public awareness about hearing protection and inclusive communication. INDIGO staff also took part in a “Walk Together” online charity campaign, converting their daily steps into charitable donations supporting rehabilitation training for people with hearing impairments and promoting hearing health education.
Caring for Communities during the Lantern Festival
Caring for Communities during the Lantern Festival
The Lantern Festival is synonymous with celebrating the start of the Chinese New Year and family reunions. In February 2025, our Community Ambassadors from Taikoo Hui Guangzhou celebrated the festival with underprivileged families in the city’s Chajiao community. Our volunteers gave children from the area the full festival experience, playing lantern riddle games and making glutinous rice balls together. They also donated groceries to families during the festival.
