Bringing Sustainability to Life
Redress 2025
Redress 2025
Swire Properties supported Get Redressed Month for the sixth consecutive year in 2025, underlining our abiding commitments to sustainable fashion and waste reduction. This year’s clothing drive collected 17.9 tonnes of pre-loved garments, helping to divert textile waste from landfills and promote circularity in the fashion industry
The Redress Sort-a-thon, held at Taikoo Place, mobilised 80 Community Ambassadors and engaged 11 tenants in the three-day sorting initiative. The volunteers sorted 1.7 tonnes of clothing for resale, donation to over 20 local charities or responsible downcycling. A Redress recycling box at the Pacific Place Mall also collected 2,747 kg of textiles, with two-thirds being donated to people in need. Beyond logistics, Swire Properties was also a venue sponsor, provided operational funding, placed collection boxes across our managed portfolios, and hosted the Redress Second-hand Summer Pop-up+ at Lincoln House and Berkshire House. These activations helped support Redress’ mission and amplify public awareness of Hong Kong’s textile waste crisis.

On 22 August, Taikoo Li Xi’an held a “Family Day Green Energy Flea Market”, bringing together staff families and community partners. The event featured eco-friendly quizzes, second-hand swaps and creative booth presentations, making learning about sustainability a fun activity. Children had their own corner where they could play waste-sorting games and engage in hands-on recycling workshops; while books, toys, electronics, and household goods found new homes at the market.

To celebrate Earth Hour 2025, The Middle House hotel held several programmes to draw attention to the urgency of the climate crisis. These included a candlelight lunch in the staff cafeteria, a “power generation activity” [elaborate on what this was] and a staff clothing recycling drive which saw colleagues donate 150 clothing items which were then donated to people in need.

Building on the success of similar events held in 2024, Swire Properties again supported the Métier Minus “post-loved luxury fashion charity pop-up” initiative this year. Two events were held – one at Two Taikoo Place in May and the other in Starstreet Precinct for five weeks in September and October, showcasing a curated collection of over 600 exquisite luxury pieces, including one-of-a-kind vintage treasures and collector’s pieces by iconic fashion houses.
More than [xxx] pieces were sold at this year’s events, raising [HKDxxx,000]. All proceeds went towards funding programmes to support young people with mental health, confidence building and sustainability education, and job training workshops for local youth and women.
