Tenant Engagement – Social and Wellness
We work to create social and wellness initiatives that connect our tenants with each other and with the wider community.
HKRI Taikoo Hui Unveils TERRA
HKRI Taikoo Hui Unveils TERRA
In June, HKRI Taikoo Hui launched TERRA, an innovative “third space” on the 38/F of HKRI Centre One. TERRA offers comprehensive high-end services including workspaces, meetings, events, dining, relaxation areas and wellness facilities. The 13,000 sq ft space aspires to set a new benchmark for sustainable, future-ready workplace environments and has already achieved numerous certifications, including RESET Embodied, RESET Air and WELL Platinum, and has gained recognition from the Company’s Green Kitchen Initiative and Green Performance Pledge.
TERRA is a human-centric space, that includes flexible, multi-purpose space design, ergonomic furniture, water and energy conserving fixtures and appliances. It has a cosy lounge that accommodates both individual focus and group collaboration, a rotating menu tailored to tenants’ health needs, and tenant-focused programming and amenities, such as art and design, health consultation, food tasting and yoga workshops.
TERRA takes the concept of a traditional productivity hub and grows it into a vibrant ecosystem for creativity and collaboration. The space also holds “TERRA+ TALK” sessions. The first talk, held in July, focused on how AI is reshaping urban life and the future of business. Attended by more than 80 people, the event strengthened tenant relationships by fostering engagement and discussion. A second event, held in November, explored how sustainable, human-centric design can make workspaces a source for wellbeing.
Looking ahead, TERRA will continue to host a diverse range of talks, workshops and community-driven initiatives. By fostering deeper connections between work and personal wellbeing, and creating opportunities for people to engage across companies and interests, TERRA aims to become a hub for productivity and a catalyst for broader human connection.
Taikoo Place Business Network
Taikoo Place Business Network
The Taikoo Place Business Network is a dynamic platform that connects Taikoo Place tenants in various ways, offering networking opportunities that promote relationship-building among attendees from companies across this global business district.
Quarterly events are organised to enhance participants’ professional growth and build meaningful connections. Each event welcomes tenants and the broader business community and features business leaders and guest speakers who share valuable insights.
In 2025, these events were collectively called “The Masterclass Series”, with each one designed to give participants insider knowledge and actionable strategies through real-world experience sharing from industry experts. Eight guest speakers were invited to four events over the year, sharing their insights and incredible stories through talks and panel discussions.
The speakers represented some of Hong Kong’s largest companies in the transportation and hospitality industries, with the events attracting more than 350 delegates from various sectors across Hong Kong and over 100 tenant businesses in Taikoo Place, creating a dynamic environment for networking and collaboration. The network has so far built a base of 600+ members over its two years.
Tenant Sports and Wellness Events
As a property developer, Swire Properties consistently seeks innovative ways to enhance the lifestyle and wellbeing of the communities we serve. This year, we organised numerous sports and wellness-related events for tenants across our properties.
PROJECT AFTER 6: Padel Tour 2025
PROJECT AFTER 6: Padel Tour 2025
Padel is an up-and-coming racquet sport that combines elements of tennis and squash. Last year, we introduced a pop-up padel court in Taikoo Place, which proved to be extremely popular. In May 2025, we brought the pop-up court back in a new weather-proof setting beneath the link bridge at One Taikoo Place.
Running from May to August, the court was primarily for the use of the Taikoo Place community, including office tenants, residents and visitors, but was also open to the general public. Close to 1,000 hours of padel sessions were made available for the Taikoo Place community and the public. During the three months, over 3,300 participants played on the court, 70% of which were office tenants. The initiative strengthened Taikoo Place’s “A Great Place To Be” brand and introduced padel to the wider Hong Kong community.
Riding on its success and continued popularity, we brought the court back again in October, naming it “Court and Culture” – a padel social club experience for the Taikoo Place community. Padel’s second 2025 iteration went “beyond the court” with public engagements, collaborations with Island East schools, brand partners and NGO-led initiatives to make the sport even more accessible. The programme has sustained its 100% court booking rate with over 950 office tenants taking part and an inter-corporate tournament in November engaging 36 corporate teams representing 23 Taikoo Place tenant companies.
Taikoo Place Wellness Month
Taikoo Place Wellness Month
In October 2025, Taikoo Place transformed ArtisTree into a vibrant hub of activity during Wellness Month. Provided in cooperation with our health club tenant partners in Taikoo Place, the programme offered more than 20 workshops, from fitness and meditation to recovery and relaxation, giving plenty of opportunities for our office community to manage stress and embrace personal wellness. We also hosted a series of Lunchtime Fitness Challenges during the month in the FWD Tower office lobby, allowing individuals to take part in mini-workout sessions guided by professional coaches and trainers.
The grand finale of Wellness Month was the annual Eight-Hour Corporate Charity Spin. This flagship event promoted positivity and healthy living while uniting the community for a good cause.
Key outcomes:
- More than 450 people took part in the 8-hour spinning relay.
- 1,000 engagements were recorded on the Taikoo Place App for workshop sign-ups and lunchtime challenges, demonstrating strong community support.
- Over HKD270,000 was raised from the 15 participating tenant companies. Proceeds were donated to a local charity dedicated to supporting sports development for Hong Kong youths.
Wellness Month highlighted our holistic approach to sustainability, where community health, employee engagement and social responsibility create a positive and supportive workplace environment.
Wellness on Every Plate
Wellness on Every Plate
This three-week cross-community wellness dining campaign aimed to inspire healthier eating habits across Pacific Place and Starstreet Precinct. It featured two components, the first being nourishing dining offers for shoppers and office tenants, who received up to 30% off a selection of dishes at the 24 participating restaurants. The second was complimentary breakfasts for Pacific Place Offices tenants from five participating restaurants, with around 3,300 people participating.
All offers and redemptions were made fully digital through the Pacific Place App and the Pacific Place Offices App, streamlining operations for shop staff and eliminating the need for paper vouchers.
One Citygate Sustainability Workshops
One Citygate Sustainability Workshops
Indigo Dyeing
This three-hour natural indigo dyeing workshop was organised for One Citygate office workers. Participants were encouraged to slow down and reconnect with nature while learning about eco-friendly dyeing methods and conscious consumption and production. Eighteen office workers from five tenant companies participated.
Pesto Making
At a two-hour pesto-making workshop in October, 20 office workers from four tenant companies learned about how rooftop farms promote sustainability by growing food locally, reducing reliance on imported produce and promoting. They made their own jars of pesto using basil freshly harvested from the One Citygate rooftop farm.
HKRI Taikoo Hui Padel Tournament
HKRI Taikoo Hui Padel Tournament
HKRI Taikoo Hui hosted its bi-annual padel tournament for the fifth consecutive year in autumn 2025. The event engaged more than 100 participants and reaffirmed our commitment to fostering a vibrant, healthy and sustainable tenant community.
The tournament gave office tenants a chance to relieve stress, supported their physical and mental wellbeing and built connections across industries, while enjoying a relaxed atmosphere that enhanced workplace satisfaction and a sense of belonging.
Over its five years, the tournament has grown from a local competition into a prestigious inter-city sporting event. Now, champions from Shanghai compete in friendly matches against winners from community competitions in Hong Kong. It remains a highly-anticipated community event that delivers meaningful social and wellness experiences.
